Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the abTestBot website at https://abtestbot.com and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Marginwalkers ("we," "us," or "our"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to both you individually and the organization.

2. Description of Service

abTestBot is an AI-powered A/B test idea generation service. The Service analyzes publicly accessible website pages that you submit and generates actionable suggestions for A/B tests designed to help improve your website's conversion rates.

Key features of the Service include:

  • AI-powered analysis of publicly accessible web pages
  • Generation of A/B test ideas with before/after visual previews
  • Saved idea management and organization
  • Scheduled idea generation and email digests
  • Competitor website analysis (on applicable plans)

The Service analyzes only publicly accessible content on the URLs you submit — the same content any visitor to those pages would see. We do not access analytics, backend systems, admin panels, or any non-public content.

3. Account Registration

  • Accurate information: You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and keep it updated.
  • One account per person: Each individual may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or for any other purpose is prohibited.
  • Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • Age requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service.

4. Free Trial & Subscription

Free Trial

  • New users receive a 7-day free trial upon registration.
  • During the free trial, you may generate up to 5 A/B test ideas.
  • No credit card is required to start the free trial.
  • At the end of the trial period, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the Service.

Subscription Plans

  • Paid plans are billed monthly. Current pricing and plan details are available on our Pricing page.
  • All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you will retain access to the Service until then.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you will continue to have access for the remainder of that period.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' advance notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle after the notice period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
  • Abuse, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure, including through excessive automated requests
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the Service
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service or any output of the Service without our prior written consent
  • Use the Service to analyze websites for the purpose of copying, scraping, or stealing content or trade secrets from those websites
  • Circumvent any usage limits, rate limits, or access controls implemented by the Service
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
  • Upload or submit any malicious content, including malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Use the Service in any manner that could damage, overburden, or impair the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these acceptable use provisions.

6. Intellectual Property

Your content:

  • The A/B test ideas generated for you through the Service are yours to use freely. You may implement, share, modify, or distribute the ideas and suggestions without restriction.
  • You retain all rights to the URLs, website content, and any other materials you submit to the Service.

Our content:

  • The abTestBot platform, including its software, algorithms, user interface, design, branding, logos, documentation, and all related technology, is and remains the exclusive property of Marginwalkers.
  • These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms.
  • You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service or any part of it.

7. Website Analysis Consent

By submitting a URL to the Service for analysis, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are the owner of the website or have been authorized by the website owner to submit it for analysis
  • The analysis of the website does not violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • You understand that our Service will access and analyze the publicly visible content of the submitted pages

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your submission of URLs that you did not have authority to submit.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY.

We specifically disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Without limiting the foregoing:

  • A/B test ideas generated by the Service are suggestions only and are not guarantees of conversion improvement, revenue increase, or any specific business outcome.
  • We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
  • We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any analysis or ideas generated by the Service.
  • You are solely responsible for evaluating and implementing any ideas generated by the Service, and you assume all risks associated with doing so.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MARGINWALKERS, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, REGARDLESS OF THE CAUSE OF ACTION OR THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Termination

  • By you: You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription through your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the Service and your saved ideas until the end of your current billing period.
  • By us: We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior, or if we are required to do so by law. In cases of termination for cause, we may terminate access immediately without a refund.
  • Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We recommend exporting any ideas or data you wish to retain before your account is terminated. After termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Louisiana, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your account.
